Bodybuilder Steve Kuclo To “Shut It Down” For Remainder Of 2022 Season to Focus On Family

Steve Kuclo will take a break from bodybuilding this year to put focus on his family.

Steve Kuclo has spent a lot of time over they years focusing on bodybuilding and building an elite physique. Now, he feels like it is time to take some time off and focus on other areas of his life. In a recent post, Kuclo shared that he will shut it down for the remainder of 2022 and focus on building his family.

Kuclo brings a massive physique that is aesthetically pleasing on stage. In 2021, he finished second during the Texas Pro and was top three in the Arnold Classic as well. This year, Kuclo returned to the stage looking to qualify for the Olympia after missing out in 2021. He was third at the Boston Pro and Arnold Classic once again.

Kuclo returned home to focus on the Texas Pro and finished third at the competition. Now that he is done competing, Kuclo can put more time into his family and focus on building further.

Steve Kuclo: “Facing Adversity Is When We Tend To Become Stronger”

Steve Kuclo took to Instagram on Tuesday to make the announcement. Kuclo and his wife are focusing on having a child. Unfortunately, they suffered a miscarriage before Kuclo competed in the Texas Pro. Kuclo opened up about this experience in his statement, which can be found below.

“AS THE PHOTO SAYS AND THOSE THAT HAVE ASKED AND WONDERING, I HAVE SHUT IT DOWN FOR THE YEAR AND FOCUSING ON WHAT REALLY MATTERS IN LIFE… MY WIFE AND HAVING A BABY TOGETHER. FOR THOSE THAT DON’T KNOW WE GOT PREGNANT BACK IN JUNE BUT SUFFERED A MISCARRIAGE A WEEK BEFORE THE TEXAS PRO SHOW I COMPETED IN. THAT WAS ONE OF THE HARDEST THINGS I’VE EVER HAD TO GO THROUGH EMOTIONALLY BUT THROUGH THAT IT MADE MY WIFE @MICHELLESYLVIAKUCLO AND I EVEN CLOSER!”

Many bodybuilders, such as Phil Heath and Jay Cutler, appeared in the comment section supporting Steve Kuclo and his family. Kuclo will likely return to bodybuilding competition in 2023 but for now, the focus is on his family and growing further.

SHE HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST BLESSING OF MY LIFE AND IS THE STRONGEST AND MOST LOVING PERSON I KNOW. IM GRATEFUL FOR EVERY DAY OF LIFE AND LOOK FORWARD TO WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS.”
