Brian Shaw Announces 2022 Shaw Classic Roster; Return Of “SHAWSTRENGTH” Podcast

The third annual Shaw Classic will take place at the Budweiser Event Center in Loveland, CO, on Aug. 13-14, 2022. It is the largest venue thus far in the contest’s young history and will feature some of the biggest names in strongman vying for the coveted title.

On Jan. 11, 2022, Brian Shaw took to his YouTube channel to announce the official roster for the 2022 Shaw Classic, the debut of the Men’s and Women’s Open contests at the Shaw Classic, and the relaunch of the SHAWSTRENGTH podcast.

Here is the full Shaw Classic roster thus far:

Additionally, any strongman who has a “strong 2022 season” prior to the Shaw Classic who has not yet been given an invite could potentially receive one. Shaw’s aim is to have the best athletes in the sport competing at the Budweiser Event Center.

Open Contests at the Shaw Classic

As the name suggests, both the Men’s and Women’s Opens will not have weight classes. “It doesn’t matter” if the prospective strongman and strongwomen interested in competing have never appeared in a sanctioned contest.

We want to give an opportunity to up-and-comers.

Athletes can earn a spot in the Open contests through an online qualifier — details to come. Athletes who qualify for the Shaw Classic Open contests will need to pay their own travel to Loveland, CO. The top three finishers in both Opens will receive prize money.
