The Iranian Hulk is doing whatever it takes to prepare for his bout with Martyn Ford.
The Iranian Hulk has taken on some crazy training methods as he prepares for his boxing match with Martyn Ford. This has included some unorthodox work meant to strengthen his core. This time, it is a method that is used by fighters often but it is still wild to see. Sajad Gharibi shared a video on Instagram taking full body punches with his hands behind his head.
Gharibi and Ford are scheduled to step in the ring on April 30. This match, which was originally set for April 2, will take place at the O2 Arena in London. This is a fight that is a long time coming and both competitors have personal feelings attached. It is clear that the Iranian Hulk is going to do whatever it takes to compete.
Heading into the month of April, Ford is a big favorite in the match. He holds a height advantage at 6-foot-9, compared to 6-foot-2 from Gharibi, with a longer reach. Ford has also trained in many fighting styles and has taken advice from some of the top fighters in the world, including Rico Verhoeven. As for the Iranian Hulk, he is not going to back down from a challenge.
Since the fight was announced, Gharibi was seen implementing training styles that not many would attempt. This included punching concrete walls and fighting off a group of men that was trying to take him down. Recently, a core-strengthening technique included getting hit in the midsection with wooden boards. Now, he has moved onto full-blow punches.
Whatever the reason is for these techniques, it does not matter to anyone but Gharibi and his trainers. Ford and the Iranian Hulk faced off once and there was plenty of animosity on both sides. Each fighter attempted to take down the other in different ways. This is the reason this bout is much anticipated.
There will be a crowd of 20,000 fans in the legendary O2 Arena to watch the Iranian Hulk and Ford settle their differences in the ring. Both fighters now have extra time to prepare for they are using it is different ways.
